Basically a section of the ground texture was standing up vertically rather than horizontal for some reason, leaving a big empty space behind it.
The wonders of the current RV client. Every day is a trip to wonderland.

Ah I used to see things like this all the time in the good old days. The ground was less solid too, people where constantly getting the message about being lifted by the gods. From what I understand at one point it was pointless intercepting barbs as they all ended up blindly traveling underground to get to Corst.
